The answer? Nobody knows for sure. However, Oklahoma Attorney General Scott Pruitt’s track record speaks for itself. While Resource Recycling states they have found no records of the noted climate change denier’s opinion specific to solid waste management or recycling, they highlighted Pruitt’s tendency to sue the very agency which he intends to head.  There are several instances in which he attempts to overturn federal regulations on coal, fracking, and other fossil fuel industries.

Pruitt would be expected to spearhead current EPA waste reduction efforts, including: the waste-reduction model (WARM), which addresses the effect of waste on climate change; the sustainable materials management (SMM) annual report; and the focus on food waste.
